Open Puzzle (web)
Clicking on this menu item displays the tab OnLine on «Sudoku Select».
From here you can load, with a simple click, the puzzles published on our site, directly in the grid game!
You can set different criteria for the selection of the puzzle with which to play: the choice of publication date, the type of puzzle and the numbers of givens.
Once you have set the selection criteria, you can navigate with the blue arrows, that are placed at the bottom, among the puzzles which meet these criteria.
Chosen the puzzle, you load it, in the grid game, by the top button-shaped hand.
When you load it, the system saves the puzzle on the local machine making it available to play offline.
Open Puzzle (local)
Clicking on this menu item displays the list of sudoku puzzles present in the directory "../sudoku/temi/"
If you're online you always have the updated list of puzzles ready to download.
The list is also accessible by clicking on the tab «Sudoku Select» and next «Local».
The list, close to the name of the puzzle, displays the following information concerning it: number and date of publication necessary to looking for it; the number of givens; its level of difficulty expressed in scale from 1 (easy) to 10 (difficult) step 0.05; finally the average ratings assigned by users.
To load the puzzle double-click its name on the list.
Download Puzzle (web)
Displays the web page containing the downloadable puzzles. Each file contains many puzzles to play with: the name is of this type "puzzles-01_15-06-08.exe" which means that contains all puzzles published from 6/1/2008 to 6/15/20008. All files published after the date of your last connection are highlighted as new.
Once you download, execute the file and unpacked puzzle in the directory "../sudoku/temi/"
To use this feature, you must be online.
Restart Game
This item is active if we started a game by selecting one of the puzzles available. Clicking it the game start again by erasing all the numbers inserted and resetting the timer.
Save Game
It can be saved unfinished games. If we have not completed the puzzle and we want to resume later without start from the beginning, we can save the contents of the grid as it is, including timer's value.
It can be saved only one game.
Open Saved Game
Upload in the grid the game previously saved.
Timer
Start
Start the stopwatch.
Pause
Pause the stopwatch.
Restart
Clear and start the stopwatch.
Connect
Opens Window login. Registered users, recalling that the registration is free, once logged in, they will have available all the functions of the program. From here you can also request the forgotten password or register as new user.
Puzzle Menu
Undo
Undo the last number entered in the grid. It can undo the last 50 type.
Solution
Show the puzzle solution (requires an active Internet connection).
Vote
Allows you to express your opinion about the puzzle through the award of the vote from 1 to 10. The vote immediately update its average ratings. (It needs an active Internet connection).
Opens the web page prepared for printing the puzzles (requires an active Internet connection).
Step By Step Solution
Starting from the puzzle you are playing, the function found, if exist any, the logic puzzles solution (of course, the logic followed is not the only possible). After his execution, you can display on the grid step by step through the two navigation buttons: previous and next.
If the pattern was downloaded from our site the existence of the unique solution is sure.
Automatic Solution
Starting from the puzzle you are playing, the function found and displays, if any, the resolution of the puzzles.
Suggest Number
Suggests a random number belonging to solving the puzzle.
Create Sudoku Menu
Save
If the puzzle is complete, which admits only solution, it is saved in the directory «../sudoku/temi/»with the name «ute-dd-mm-yyyy-hh-min-sec.tema» ready to play. If the puzzle is incomplete will be saved in the dir «../sudoku/temi/mioschema/» to be resumed later.
Open Unfinished Puzzle
Opens a puzzle being created, still incomplete, previously saved.
Publish
If you created a new puzzle and have decided to make it public and accessible to all our users, this is the function that you use.
The system verify, before publishing it, that the puzzles has unique solution, otherwise alerts the user.
To access this option you must be logged.
Count Solutions
Up to 10
Count the number of valid solutions , stopping the counts to 10.
Up to 30
Count the number of valid solutions , stopping the counts to 30.
Up to 60
Count the number of valid solutions , stopping the counts to 60.

Help Menu
Show Candidate
If this menu item is checked, then when the mouse pointer is over a grid's cell of sudoku, shows the values allowed for that box.
Show All Candidate
Brings up the grid of all permissible values for each cell. It is the same as clicking on the tab «candidates».
Highlights Error
If it is checked, when entering a new value in the sudoku grid makes it insoluble, the grid of candidates is placed in the foreground and are highlighted cells that do not allow values candidate.
Indicates 0 solutions
If it is checked, on a new insertion event, the system verify if if the sudoku puzzle is still solvability and alert the player even if the puzzle has ONLY ONE solution or NO solution.
